Here are the top most asked questions about the Q4XP.
❓If I bought the FlyJSim Q400 Legacy, will I get a discount on the Q4XP❓
- No, the aircraft will be considered a completely new aircraft. We have created a new version of the aircraft from scratch, including modeling, programming, and sounds. Due to the significant investment of time, money, and technology required, we must treat the aircraft as a separate entity.
❓Is the Q4XP X-Plane 10 compatible❓
- As of our recent series line-up, all of our aircraft are designed for X-Plane 11 only, due to advancements in the technology of the simulation and the rendering engine.
❓Will it run in X-Plane 12❓
- Hope you are busy checking into XP12. For those who may try loading the Q4XP, here are a list of items you may encounter that are currently on our list to fix.
-Engines cannot be started, and Torque indicator shows wrong indication.( fixed in 1.20 )
- many flight model issues, will need extensive work to bring up to xp12 standards, this may include airfoils being off, including prop and that will directly relate to power. Trim changes, tire pressure, braking forces, fuel flow, and ITT, are all needed a look at.
- Cockpit windows do not currently display the rain effects.
- Many textures, mostly exterior look to shiny.
- Brightness of LIT surfaces look to dim during the day time.
- nose wheel tiller not working.
- Weight and balance will need to be checked over.
- lighting will need to be checked over as some areas are way to bright.
If you find anything else, please report it, and be specific that its an xp12 item, not related to xp11.
Also remember, xp12 is in early access, laminar may make changes that break things from time to time as they push towards full release.
Historically FlyJSim has not supported planes during X-Plane beta runs, however this time around we will endeavor to make things mostly compatible for you going forward so you may continue to enjoy the q4XP.
❓Will VR be supported❓
- Version 1.11 has introduced initial support for VR, with new manipulators and performance improvements. There will be more VR-related developments in future patches.
❓Will it come to MSFS❓
- FlyJSim has always developed for X-Plane and will continue as such.
❓How do I get the V-speeds to show up?❓
- You can manually enter your V-speeds via the index control panel on the far left or far right of the main instrument panel. Alternatively, you can quickly display the V-speeds by clicking the lower half of the speed tape on the PFD. In this case, the V-speeds will be calculated based on your current weight and whether you are in the air or not.
